Social Strategy and Managment

BarkBox

Data-Informed Content Plan

Executive Summary: For this project we are looking to create a content plan for BarkBox from the data collected from October 17th to the 31st. This data will help us create content themes for BarkBox' social media platforms that will help generate more viewer traffic, engagement from their consumers, and also broadening their target audience.

Target Audience: Bark's target market for BarkBox are dog owners who want to pamper and spoil their dogs. However, when it comes to their social medias a large number of their followers are people that don't even own a dog but find their content to be funny, entertaining, and like to look at funny dog memes.

Brand Story: BARK has been turning tail wags into full-body wiggles since 2011, now with 2.2 million active subscriptions (and a lot more happy dogs). BARK is the world’s most dog-centric company, devoted to making all dogs happy with the best products, services, and content. BARK’s dog-obsessed team applies its unique, data-driven understanding of what makes each dog special by designing playstyle-specific toys, wildly satisfying treats, great food for your dog's breed, effective and easy to use dental care, and dog-first experiences that foster the health and happiness of dogs everywhere.

Brand Personality: BARK is a very fun and playful brand that uses it social media platforms to make relatable and entertaining content. While also keeping a chill and laid-back way when marketing their BarkBox to dog owners. BarkBox is very good when it comes to staying up to date on the latest social media trends and lingo. Just like how they keep their products new, fresh, and for a wide range of pets and owners.

“We wanted to be a positive, fun, higher-end brand for ‘dog parents."
